These helmets are designed and manufactured according to EN 1077 European specifications (reference standard for the approval of alpine ski helmets as required by law on the compulsory wearing of a protective helmet in alpine skiing and snowboarding - Italian Law 363 of 24 December 2003 and subsequent modifications. Art. 7b specifies, for subjects under the age of 14, the compulsory use of a protective helmet approved in accordance with CE EN 077 standards) and are exclusively for alpine skiing. These cannot and must not be used for cycling, motorcycling, canoeing, flying and other sports.
No helmet can protect its wearer against all kinds of foreseeable impact. Nevertheless, for maximum protection, the helmet must be well fitted to the head and all retainers must be well fastened to keep the helmet in the correct position.
These helmets are produced in such a way that shock may be absorbed via partial collapse, and damage can sometimes be invisible. If an impact of this nature is sustained, the manufacturer must be contacted to check the helmet, or it should be destroyed and replaced.
