Gianmaria Dal Maistro, born in Schio, Vicenza province on 4 December 1980, is a visually impaired athlete from the Italian national disabled Alpine Ski team who donned his first pair of skis at the age of 6. He became a member of the team at just 14 years old and has always achieved remarkable results, including: 4 Paralympic medals, 2 World Cup specialities, 37 podium appearances in the World Cup and 130 during his career, the last 10 years as Italian champion.

Gianmaria and Tommaso Balasso, now Gianmaria's guide, were the stars of the IX Winter Paralympic Games in 2006 in Turin, with a triumphant gold medal in the Super G and the silver in the Giant Slalom.
